I have reached the end of my 3 month (self-imposed) spending freeze which I discussed in an earlier post. We all knew it was going to be a difficult task and I have to admit I have had a few slip ups along the way, although nothing major. But now that I can spend I’m not rushing into it, as this more thoughtful approach to buying has stuck with me.
Over the past months I have relied heavily on creating wishlists rather than actually buying. But I thought to myself wouldn’t it be great to be able to see all your wishlist items from various websites in one place? I have found pinterest to be really useful for this purpose.
Using the secret boards function in pinterest, I pinned all my wishlist items from various websites onto one board to serve as a visual wishlist. When you pin an image, a link through to the original website is created, so it’s easy to click through to the product description page. Now I can view all of my items together which means I can compare similar items and see how all the items fit together as elements of my wardrobe.
Speaking of pinterest, as some of you have noticed, The Luxe Edit now has a pinterest page, which features pins from this blog as well as style inspiration found on pinterest. I hope you enjoy it.
